Azure Seas Whale Watching Season Begins March 1st!

For the upcoming 2019 whale watching season featuring the annual gray whale migration, Azure Seas will begin our trips starting March 1st. While whale watching season is often described as ‘Mid-February to Mid-May’ in Santa Barbara, the Azure Seas has been undergoing some serious maintenance including an entirely new set of engines as well as interior upgrades. We are so excited to not only begin our whale watching season, but also with the boat in the best shape it has ever been in!

Our tw0-hour whale watching excursions depart multiple times per day from Stearns Wharf in Santa Barbara. While it’s not a 100% guarantee to see whales on each trip, we feel like starting two weeks into the season actually increases our chances. Along with the migrating gray whales, there are also chances to see humpback whales, bottlenose dolphins, porpoises, sea lions, harbor seals and sea birds! Any trip where a whale isn’t sighted will result in a voucher for a free trip during the remainder of the season.
